The Spanish carp fishing community in association with CARPdiem Magazine wish to protect 6,500kg of beautiful carp from imminent death. In November 2017 the Madrid authorities will begin draining the lake in Casa de Campo Madrid for construction works. The plan includes the total decimation of all Mirror & Common carp. The current total of fish is estimated to be around 1300 specimens ranging to over 40lb (approx 20kg) and many 30lb examples. All these fish are currently set to be killed and pulped into animal feed according to the law 42/2007, Ley del Patrimonio Natural y de la Biodiversidad.

In order to take our petition to the authorities. With your help we can request an alternative and relocation to nearby rivers or lakes within the community. If these fish are sacrificed the global carp fishing community will lose, as the same legislation could potentially be applied in other European locations.

Our combined voices can help prevent the unnecessary brutal slaughter of thousand of fish. As sports fishermen of the world we have a duty to show we are opposed to the new law. A simple signature can make all the difference and save fish that are upto 35 years old.

Queda poco tiempo

La comunidad de pescadores españoles de carpas en asociación con CARPdiem Magazine desea proteger 6.500 kg de hermosas carpas de la masacre inminente. En noviembre de 2017, las autoridades madrileñas comenzarán a drenar el lago en la Casa de Campo (Madrid) para obras de construcción. El plan incluye la destrucción total de todas las carpas comunes y de espejo.

El total actual de peces se estima en alrededor de 1300 especímenes que van desde más de 40 libras (aproximadamente 20 kg) y muchos ejemplos de 30 libras. Todos estos peces están actualmente destinados a ser sacrificados y transformados en alimentos para animales de acuerdo con la ley 42/2007, Ley del Patrimonio Natural y de la Biodiversidad.

Requerimos 100,000 firmas para llevar nuestra petición a las autoridades. Con su ayuda podemos solicitar una alternativa y reubicar a ríos o lagos cercanos dentro de la comunidad. Si estos peces son sacrificados, la comunidad pesquera mundial de carpa perderá, ya que la misma legislación podría aplicarse en otras ubicaciones europeas. Nuestras voces combinadas pueden ayudar a prevenir la brutal matanza innecesaria de miles de peces.
