World Carp Classic Orellana lo mejor evento en el historia de carpfishing.

Hace dos semanas se celebro la primera clasificatoria del World Carp Classic en el embalse de Orellana. El calor era extremo con temperaturas de más de 35 grados ºC. Entre todas las parejas capturaron un alrededor de 700kg de carpas. Lo podemos considerar como el mayor evento de carpfishing celebrado en Orellana.

Algunos pescadores pescaban a más de 300 metros. Españoles, Húngaros, Búlgaros, Polacos, Escoceses, Españoles y Británicos estaban compitiendo. Las parejas se dividieron en tres secciones. El evento fue ganado por dos pescadores españoles: Fran Granados y Jorge Sacristian. Los dos ganadores tuvieron picadas casi continuamente pescando a una distancia de 280 metros. Ambos tuvieron que sacar los cebos en barca cada vez. Esta pareja ha demostrado que tienen lo necesario para ganar. Sacaron mas de cuarenta peces por encima del peso mínimo de 5 kg. En total más de 369kg de la carpas. Con estas capturas masivas obtuvieron el primer premio y un lugar en la final del Clásico Mundial de carpa. También ganaron el premio a la mayor captura.

El segundo puesto fue para un guía local: Lee Hutchinson de catch carp spain. Lee sabe bastante sobre como sacar peces en Orellana. El y su compañero Stuart capturaron más 122kg de la carpas garantizandose el segundo premio.

A todos los concursantes se le entrego un paquete de bienvenida con cebos de Dynamite Baits. Más del 85% de los pescadores obtuvieron capturas, por lo que se puede considerar que hemos hecho historia en Orellana. No sólo se capturaron carpas, también hubo bastantes capturas de tenca, aunque ninguno de ellos paso del umbral de 5kg. El éxito de este año nos da pistas para valorar como puede llegar a ser el evento del año que viene.

Los ganadores Fran Granados y Jorge Sacristán están muy contentos con sus resultados y están muy ilusionados de poder representar a su país y competir en la final en el Lago de Madine, en Francia.

A couple of weeks ago Peter Staggs and myself set up the 1st ever Spanish World Carp Classic qualifying event. The event took place on Lake Orellana, Extremadura Spain. The heat was extreme with temperatures soaring above 35 Deg C+. Those brave pairs fishing caught an amazing 1595lbs of carp. This massive haul represents the biggest ever in the history of any carp fishing match held on Orellana.

We used our knowledge and help from Craig Reid and put the competitors in the best swims. Anglers had lot´s of water to go at! Some of the Anglers fished at ranges beyond 300 meters. Spanish Hungarian, Bulgarian, Polish, Scotish, British and Spanish were competing.

The pairs were split into 3 sections, all of which produced fish. The event was won by two Spanish Anglers Fran Granados and Jorge Sacristian. The two Anglers fished non stop at 280 meter range rowing baits to the hotspot. The duo demonstrated they have what it takes to win. They caught 40 fish over the minimum weight of 5kg. They caught over 369kg of carp. With this massive catch they won 1st prize and a place in the finals of the World Carp Classic, JRC Rods, pods and unhooking mats. They also won biggest fish prize of Dynamite Baits Red Fish Boilies and Dips and a range of PB Products. They also caught fish fish, taking the Dynamite baits Peach and Mango boilies dips and popups.

In second place was local guide Lee Hutchinson from Catch Carp Spain (UK). Lee knows a thing or two about how to fish the challenging lake. Lee and his partner Stuart caught over 122kg of carp to secure 2nd place prize of a JRC 2 man bivvy with over wrap and Ruben heaton scales.

Upon arrival contestants were given a welcome pack of Dynamite baits products, spirits among competitors was high. More than 85% of the Anglers caught fish and made carp fishing history on Orellana. Not only carp were caught, actually some massive Tench also came out, but none of them were more than the 5kg they needed to be to be counted! This year it´s clear to see was a fantastic event all round, next year is set to be even bigger and a real winner.
