Angel from CARPdiem with a 40lb 3oz Carp

Our man Angel L. Bonal of the CARPdiem team pulled a whopper out of the bag recently on an undisclosed Madrid water. We did a full bit of fish spotting the week before and upon mooching we saw what the Spanish called a few ‘Pepinos’ – in other words lumps. This was just too much for Angel who soon returned to stalk and fish just 2m from the bank side in about 1m of water. His pop-up Dynamite Bait Boilie lasted an hour or so, but all the while he had to sit patient just watching Carp feeding on-top of his bait, hands under him, waiting for the take!

His first 40 plus fish and what a cracker……Well done mate, let’s hope we can get a few more before the year is over.
