Extreme Carp F-Fishing

I don’t want to talk much about this session, simply because it was hard. I will say I had the blistering joy of daily temperatures of 55 Deg.C with the shade running in at 42 Deg C. under the umbrella!

Extreme fishing eat your heart out, and dont forget sweat your balls off! Extreme fishing took on a whole new meaning, and now in hindsight like a jack-in-the-box the expression: Mad dogs and Englishmen bounces on my head!

Nevertheless, on the upside I did manage 11 fish, 4 Barbel and 7 Carp. The best Carp as seen above was a cracking 28lb 2oz scaly Spanish slab. This beast was a most welcome fish, hard come by but worthy as he beat my personal best (P.B) for this water.

O.K, I didn’t smash my record with him, like in other places, I merely nudged my P.B higher, by a wafer thin 1/2 a pound, perfect! Carp are Carp and a 28lb 2oz minty royal will do for me!

As for the Barbel, this was one of the better fish and better shots, when you’re out on your own, as I was this session late night photos can be tricky. Especially when in this heat, all you want to do is have the fish back in the water pronto. As I said, I am keeping stum about this session, extreme, crazy learning, seguro!

Tight lines.
