Carp Fishing in Spain – Spanish Gold indeed!

Having made another short night session on the aformentioned 10,000 hectar water, and my local Buendia here are my results.

I managed 5 fish, of which 2 were Barbel to 10lbs, and 3 were Carp to 26lbs 10oz. All fish fell to our current winning bait an 18mm Concept for you – Liver Boilie, with a size 6 Wide Gape hook, Nash Armadillo hooklink tied knotless knot style.

This was a good fish but not quite enough to break my personal best (PB) from this water, which has stood at 12.5kg or 27.5lbs since May 2005!

Having just read part 2 of The Spanish Gold article written by Andy Chambers in this month and last International Carper, I have no fear, come September and the weather change, those big fish could well be nearing my net, and I am so ready for that!

Bring on the bigger more handsome and marvelous fish of Spain, venga!
