Mi Cumpleaños en la nieve con Gas!

Un pez llamado Gas: 3 días de pesca en Celje, Eslovenia.

Hace poco, mi compañero y yo decidimos pasar por nuestro lago local:

el «Šmartinsko Jezero», en Eslovenia. El pronóstico del tiempo no era bueno, por eso llevé incluso mi pala de excavar porque la previsión era de unos 20 cm. de nieve.

Planeamos pescar en una de las zonas más profundas de todo el lago, a unos 8 ó 9 metros de profundidad. La temperatura exterior era bajo cero tanto de día como de noche, aunque las noches eran mucho más frías. Pero esto no nos impidió capturar hasta 10 carpas de entre 8 y 15 kg. en los 2 primeros días!

La tercera noche empezó a nevar. Estuvo nevando toda la noche y por la mañana nos despertamos con un día increíble lleno de nieve y sin nubes. Cuando salió el sol, decidimos preparar la vuelta a casa tranquilamente y empezamos a empacar nuestras cosas.
Estábamos sacando nuestros marcadores fuera del agua, cuando de repente tuvimos una picada totalmente «invernal»: muy lenta y tímida. El pez había picado muy despacio, por lo que decidí no salir con la barca y pelear desde mi posición. Era una carpa y no parecía muy fuerte, pero una vez que se acercó a la orilla, la verdadera batalla comenzó.

Cuando por fin pude verla mientras mi compañero la introducía en la red, sólo podía gritar… Ooohh síiiii!! Era el día de mi 20 cumpleaños y desde ése momento, sería memorable. Pesamos la carpa, le hicimos muchas fotos y la devolvimos al agua.
Nunca olvidaré este día. Un hermoso día con nieve y sol, mi cumpleaños y el mejor regalo: un pez increíble de 24,5 kg. llamado Gas!!

My Birthday in the snow with a big carp called Gas!

We decided to take a 3 days fishing with my mate on our local lake – Šmartinsko Jezero in Slovenia.

The weather forecast was not good. Actually I took even my shovel with me because there was the forecast for like 20cm of snow. We decided to go on a deeper part of the lake, there was the depth of 8-9 meters. The outside temperature was in the minus all the time, the nights were really cold. We caught 10 carps from 8-15kg in first two days!

The third night it started to snow. It was snowing all night long and in the morning we woke up in the amazing day full of snow and without clouds. Once the sun showed up we decided to slowly go home and we started to pack our stuff. We just went to get our markers out of the water, when we came back I had a run, “a winter” run. The carp took the bait really slowly. I decided to not go on a boat and take it out from the bank. The carp wasn’t so strong till it came near the bank and then the real battle started.

I was shocked when I saw the massive fish for the first time and when my friend finally got it in the net I screamed “Yeeeeeeees”. It happened on the day of my 20th birthday. We weighed the beast, and took many pictures then released her back in the water. I will never forget this day. A beautiful day with a full of snow and sun, my birthday and I caught an amazing fish over 20kg (exactly 24,5kg) the fish is called Gas.
