The 2006 World Carp Classic has been won by the Polish team. It seems like it was hard going out on the mighty Orient, with just 17 fish caught through the 6 days of grueling competition, well let’s face it, it was never going to be easy!
Jaroslaw Plochocki, and Mariusz Ciach of the Polish team picked up a cheque for £10,000 with their 80.85kg bag, they were joined in 2nd place by Leszek Rutecki and Andrew Bartczak with 33.5kg, both of which are part of the Polish EcoDream team.
The prize for biggest fish and a cheque for £2,000 went to Eddie Mathews and Richard Bradley of the SBS Baits team, they caught a cracking Orient Carp of 23.5kg.
